Chain link application:

The link serves for connection of a single-row driving roller chain pieces  which consists of even quantity of links. 

Structure of offset link:

The offset link consists of two curved plates connected among themselves the plug on which the roller is freely put. From the counter party of a plate unite among themselves the removable roller which on the one hand is fixed by the lock.
