In 1960 MF-400 and MF-500 were introduced. They had unusual for Massey Ferguson design and were accomplished on a high technological level. Hydraulic of height adjustment of lift freight screw that unloaded grain from hopper was set on these machines. The operator place was equipped with lots of informational devices and was protected with metal rails. Powerful Perkins engines were installed on the combines.
