Layout of belts and chains combine CLAAS Compact 30
At the beginning of the 1960s John Deere Lanz MD 150 S started to compete with Claas Columbus, Massey Ferguson 630, Fahr M40, Bautz T600 combines, which were presented at the market during that time.
Like most of its competitors the Lanz MD 150 S combine was equipped with 29 horsepower engine of Volkswagen brand, later – 1,8 l fuel-diesel Perkins engine was installed. The MD 250 S combine was also provided with a 4-cylinder fuel-diesel Perkins engine, which has not changed a lot in comparison with the MD 25 S combine. These models in the 1960s captivated European market in spite of presenting American brand.
