Combine harvester MASSEY FERGUSON MH/MF 722 - 788

МН-722 and МН-726 harvest combines were the first self-propelled combines which were on sale in Europe.  The gasoline engine of the Continental brand with a power of 35 h.p. was installed on the MH-722 model, and the engine of the Austin brand of 56 h.p. was installed on the MN-726 model.  Engines were placed in the safe protected from fire place. Pick-up of a header was carried out by means of the electric drive.

In 1952 the MN-726 model was replaced with new Massey Harris 780 which had much more widely a threshing drum. The 6-cylinders diesel engines with  56 hp power were set on these models.   Harvesters were equipped with a hydraulic adjustable header.

In 1958  МН-780S model was introdused. Control of technological process was improved here. The quantity of greasing points on these combines was reduced to ten that reduced time of their maintenance.

About 28000 units of these harvesters were sold.  The MN-788 combine which was made until the end of the 60th years was the following model. The Perkins engines with 62 HP power set these combines in motion.
