Combine harvester CLAAS DOMINATOR 38-68

Combine harvester CLAAS DOMINATOR 38-68

The “Claas”company met a need of the contractor firms and large-scale enterprises, interested in the further increase of combine productivity, it happened in 1970 thanks to the launch of the Dominator model.

The fundamental productivity of the Dominator combine harvesters is reached by the means of the reaping-machine.The clean and precise cut of the same height stubble is as important as the constant discharge of plant mass to the threshing drum. The large distance between finger tips and screw conveyor supply with regulated grips over the entire width is an important feature of all Dominator reaping-machines. The machine is equipped with high-powered driving gear of cutterbar. The regulated discharging springs at hydraulic cylinders provide precise adjustment to the relief. There are three driving chains with strong channel iron.

The Dominator is equipped with typical threshing device – diameter of the drum is 450 mm and angle of grasp is 117°. The drum width of the threshing machine in all Dominator models is 1,06 m. The number of rotations of threshing drum and concave clearance are set from the inside of the cab.

In 1981 a new series of the Dominator 38 and 48 was introduced, its prototype was the Consul combine. In a year the successors of the Dominator 56 and 66 became the Dominator 58 and 68. The difference between those models wasn’t significant, mainly they differed in engine power and bunker size.
